Library Reports

How Are We Doing?
2007 Library Annual Report For a snapshot of how the library is responding to community needs, take a look at these recent projects:

  • The Tigard Library Strategic Plan 2010-2015 is a map, a compass, a guidepost to the future.

  • In February the Library conducted its Annual Patron Survey. More than 3,000 responses later, we want to thank everyone who took the time to share their views about the library. Check out the results. This year, patrons who filled out the survey were given the opportunity to ask us questions. Check out the results to "What would you like to ask us?" here. (Minor typos and/or spelling errors were not corrected.)

The Library relies on your feedback to improve service. Thank you for helping us serve you better.

  • the Performance Audit requested by the City's Financial Strategies task force found that the library is managed in a cost-effective manner, providing citizens with 4:1 return on each tax dollar invested in library operations, and

  • the 2007 annual report celebrates a new milestone for the Tigard Public Library. On Thursday, December 27 a library patron checked out the millionth item of the year!

  • the 2006 Annual Report reviews a year's worth of activities, programs and services from A to Z, based on what the community has requested.
Library staff has already implemented some of the recommendations from the survey and the audit report. We will continue to report our progress and ask for your suggestions. Performance matters at the Tigard Library…and so do you!
