The Friends of the Tigard Library is a non-profit community organization with one goal: to promote and enhance the services of the Library through fundraising events, volunteer efforts and generous contributions for library programs and services. The Friends group has enriched the Library's collection as well as the quantity and quality of the programs offered. It consistently has supported the adult reading program, child and teen reading groups and a variety of musical and cultural programs.

The Friends' primary source of fundraising is book sales. In addition to a popular on-going book sale in the Library lobby, the group sponsors two major book sales each year. The Friends group encourages donations and always welcomes new members. The group meets in the Library on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m.
