Donation Guidelines
Do you have books, DVDs, videos, compact discs, tapes or other materials that you wish to donate
to the Tigard Library? You can help stretch our budget dollars. Here are some guidelines
to help you when donating:
- We can only accept materials in good to excellent condition. Please do not donate soiled, torn, worn, moldy or damp materials.
- We cannot accept magazines.
- No textbooks, encyclopedia sets, or videos with the NC-17 or X rating will be accepted.
- The Library will determine how best to use your donations. We may decide to: add them to the library's collection; put them in the Friends of the Library Book Sale, or donate them to another library or organization.
- We give you a receipt for tax purposes, but cannot determine the monetary value of your donation.
- The library may occasionally be unable to accept donations because of limited storage space. It is always best to call ahead. Please call 503-684-6537.
