Tigard Reads 2008
The Last Chinese Chef

The community is invited to participate in Tigard's first community-wide reading program! Join us for book discussions, an author visit, music, performances and crafts throughout the month of May based on the selected novel, The Last Chinese Chef, and its themes of Chinese culture and history.

Attend the main event of the program as Nicole Mones speaks at the Library about the inspiration and writing of her novel, The Last Chinese Chef.

Carol Surrency from Oregon Historic Cemeteries Association will speak about the history and types of cemeteries, symbolism and iconography, and proper methods of tombstone preservation.
