No. Stop. Don't roll over me! Gilbert is just hangin' with the crew while they prep KEI's parking lot for paving.
Liquor Store Parking Lot Paved. Ferguson - One driveway transition completed. One to go. Compacting fresh asphalt on B&B Parking Lot.
Bring down the poles. Driveway Prep at the Liquor Store. Paving on the private side of the driveways kicks off this morning at the Tigard Liquor Store.
There was electricity in the air…no, wait, it's all underground now, but the street was abuzz with activity as the poles were coming out today. Ash Avenue almost clear of poles. Looking towards Main Street.
Crews continue taking down power lines on Burnham Street. Frontier crews started removing poles on Burnham today!!! Rollin', rollin', rollin', get them poles a rollin' - right off the job site.
It was almost too good to eat. The façade improvement at the Tigard Liquor Store is complete and the cake is but crumbs.
Tigard Liquor Store owner, Chuck Woodard, along with Mayor Dirksen, cut the ceremonial ribbon yesterday to celebrate the completion of the first Main Street Façade Improvement Project. Sean Farrelly, looking on, is the City's Downtown Redevelopment Manager working with business owners on façade improvements. It was a proud moment for Tigard as American Legion members Kent Erickson and Bill Harris raised the American flag high over Main Street. The flag raising was part of a special ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the façade improvement project at the Tigard Liquor Store.
The Gateway to Downtown Tigard is taking shape. Fine Craft masons have been busy on the 9 foot tall pillar that anchors the gateway sign at Burnham Street and Hall Boulevard. Welcome to Downtown Tigard! There goes the spa...the water quality facilities are being filled in with soil. Next come the trees and other growies.
PGE crews are removing street lights and cutting off the tops of the poles. Spreading rock for sidewalk in rapid fashion. Working the fire department approach - this driveway will have 8 inches of concrete with number 4 rebar at 24 inches on center - it's a hefty section for some hefty trucks.

The PGE conduit spool is ready to cross under Main Street. The crew had to bore under Main Street at a depth of 9 feet to miss all of the other utilities that got there first! Here is where the conduit heads underground. ...and here is where the conduit is pulled to the other side.

Traffic backed up on Burnham. Here is a view of the work in progress on Tigard Falls It was slow going this morning as Clopton Excavating was dewatering the manhole excavation and the ground water from the sanitary trench (left side of the pond) was filling the hole almost as fast as the pump could work.
Work continues on Ash Avenue storm sewer Clopton working on storm run on Ash Street. Almost to Burnham. Storm manhole to be installed at intersection of Burnham and Ash. Looks bigger than the dump truck from afar.
Thor made a surprise visit to the Burnham Street construction job. Swede gave him a spot on the backhoe to get a bird(dog's) eye view. As you can see, its safety first for the guys with their vests. Juan has been working in the rain and the mud since the project started. Today was a good day, just a few sprinkles and a clean, dry manhole to work in. Aggregate backfill waits for its turn in the storm water trench.

Top photo: The Ash Avenue access to Fanno Creek Trail remains closed due to construction delays and high water on the lower path areas. It is expected that access will be available late next week.

Second photo: Looking ahead, this lonely storm sewer manhole is looking for a warm place to be under the asphalt in Ash Avenue. The contractor continues to work on this section of the storm line. A second crew was brought in this week to work on the storm line in Burnham Street in front of Stevens Marine and Ferguson Plumbing Supply.
