Behind the Scenes
Your storefront could be your most valuable marketing tool… Are you making the most of it?

The City of Tigard, through Downtown Urban Renewal Funds, announces the Façade Improvement Program for Main Street property and business owners. This program is designed to encourage businesses to make improvements to their storefronts or commercial facades by providing design assistance and/or matching funds.

The purpose of this program is to help revitalize Main Street as a place to shop, do business, and invest in. After collaborating with the public in the "Tigard Downtown Improvement Plan," the City is excited to partner with property and business owners to make Downtown Tigard truly unique.

Program Details
The program has two parts. The first is the Façade Improvement Design Assistance. This assistance is completely free to eligible applicants and is available on a "first come, first served" basis. The second part of the program is the Façade Improvement Matching Grant. Applicants who received Design Assistance and who wish to be considered for a 50% matching grant will fill out an additional application and undergo a competitive process.
