The Tigard City Council is now accepting nominations for the annual Exemplary Citizenship Award.
Award recipients are chosen for their service in implementing or helping with an outstanding project,
program or service; enriching and revitalizing our community or neighborhoods; demonstrating responsiveness,
creativity and civic values or promoting cross-cultural awareness.

At about 3:15 PM Sunday, January 29th, 2012, Tigard Police responded to a call of a
Robbery at the ATM of Chase Bank, located at 11354 SW Durham Rd., Tigard, OR. Officers
determined a middle aged woman had been
approached by a male carrying a knife, who demanded she give him an undisclosed amount of money
she had just withdrawn from the ATM.

Every two years Tigard residents are surveyed to ascertain their use of and satisfaction
with City services as well as to determine priorities for their neighborhoods and the
City. Topical questions added to this year's survey ask residents their opinion on
recreation, social media, economic development, and high capacity transit.

Public Notice Has Been Mailed to All Residents
|

On January 13, 2012 the city sent a notice compliant with state law to all property owners that
adoption of the proposed code "may affect the permissible uses of your property."
The purpose of
this notice is to ensure that you have ample opportunity to learn about the proposed code and
provide comments and testimony to decision makers.
