Volunteer Opportunities

Outdoor Projects for Volunteers
Tigard has a variety of opportunities for volunteers to choose from including one time events and ongoing projects.

  • Assist out City Forester and Parks staff planting and maintaining trees and native restoration areas.
  • Help maintain grounds at the Tigard Senior Center.
  • Join the Adopt-a-Street, Adopt-a-Path, or Adopt-A-Stream programs.
  • Work with staff to remove Blackberry, English Ivy, and other non-native species from parks and undeveloped areas.
  • Carry out short term special projects such as filling sand bags or building bat and bird houses on an as needed basis.
  • Stencil storm drain catch basins to improve water quality in local waterways.
For more information and/or to volunteer, contact Carla Staedter, Public Works Volunteer Coordinator at 503-718-2788 or carla@tigard-or.gov.
