Holiday Cheer

Tree Lighting Festivities
* Friday, December 4, 2009 @ 6:45 p.m.

Join friends and neighbors in downtown Tigard on Friday, December 4 at 6:45 p.m. for a holiday tree lighting event. Santa will arrive at Liberty Park at the corner of 99W and Main Street to light the tree around 7 p.m. Afterwards, children will be able to greet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Bring your family and friends to enjoy hot cocoa and cookies.

If you have questions, contact Jane Davies, Tigard Tree Lighting volunteer at 503-816-7084.

Victorian Christmas Holiday
* Saturday, December 5, 2009 @ Noon to 4 p.m.
* John Tigard House Museum (Corner of 103rd & Canterbury Lane)

Everyone is invited to enjoy the beauty of the season. View this 1880 Carpenter Gothic Queen Anne three-room home dressed up for the holidays with four merrily decorated Christmas trees and live music. Imagine living in the magical world of a Department 56 Snow Village or in an antique doll collection, courtesy of local collectors.

Make a Christmas ornament and get a candy cane from Santa Claus!

Holiday Concert

The Tualatin Valley Community Band (TVCB), under the direction of Steve Heuser, will present a free “Holiday Concert” at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 6, in the Deb Fennell Auditorium, Tigard High School, 9000 S.W. Durham Road in Tigard.
