Tigard Safety Town Registration Information - 2012
What is Safety Town:
Tigard Safety Town is a nine-day event where
children learn about bicycle, pedestrian, home and personal safety through the use of puppets,
speakers, films, music and hands on activities such as riding through our own Safety Town!
Children
learn abut bicycle, pedestrian, home, fire, electrical, personal safety and more.
Volunteers have run this program since 1972!!!
Who is eligible to participate?
Kids who have a birthday
between September 1, 2005 to January 1, 2008. No exceptions.
Registration Date/Time:
Registration will be on Saturday, April 14, 2012
at 8:30 a.m. for Tigard residents. (Tigard High School cafeteria)
At 9 a.m. registration is open to those
living outside of the 97223 & 97224 zip codes if space allows.
Registration is for the following session dates:
1st Session*: June 19 - June 29
2nd Session*: July 2 - July 13
*Each session offers a morning (9 - 11:15 a.m.) or afternoon (Noon - 2:15 p.m.) class.
Location:
Safety Town is held at Mary Woodward Elementary School (12325 SW Katherine, Tigard).
Registration Fee:
$65 (each additional sibling $60). Cash or check only.
Important Info:
To register a child, you must provide the following:
1. Child’s original state-issued birth certificate (no substitutions!)
2. Proof of Tigard address (for priority 8:30 a.m. registration)
3. Child's health insurance policy number and medical information
4. Name and phone number of child’s doctor
