Location10155 SW Johnson Street - Aerial Overview Woodard Park Bordered by Fanno Creek and Tiedeman, Johnson and Katherine Streets, Woodard Park sits tucked away in the center of the city. The original 4.5-acre park site expanded in 1999, when another 5.5 acres were purchased through Metro. The park is best known for its large oak trees and ponderosa pines; park structures were actually designed around these big trees. Park-goers can hear the creek babble along while walking Fanno Creek trail as it winds through this quiet, neighborhood park. In addition to a swing set, the park has two play structures, one for younger children and a second, more challenging structure, for older kids. In 2003, a state grant enabled the city to construct a picnic shelter and install a drinking fountain in the park. All park amenities are ADA accessible and are located along Fanno Creek trail. |
