Summerlake Park
Three foot-bridges cross
its waterways, making
Summerlake the centerpiece of this park. The lake is home to numerous waterfowl and aquatic
animals. This area of open space is interspersed with small wooded areas where you can enjoy the
natural surroundings. Tennis courts, basketball court, two playground areas and several picnic
tables provide recreational opportunities. Summerlake Park offers one reservable picnic shelter
which includes a barbecue grill and tables.
Since Spring, 2000 the Sorg Rhododendron Garden has been growing with plant donations and purchases.
Volunteers help with planting, bark dusting and other maintenance chores in the garden. Near the garden
and parking lot is a small fenced and landscaped dog off leash area.
