Summerlake Park Dog Park

Location
Summerlake Dog Park is located in northwest Tigard, south of Scholls Ferry Road and east of 135th Avenue. (11450 SW Winterlake Drive)

Summerlake Dog Park Open Hours
Summerlake Dog Park is open daily dawn to dusk.

Volunteers are needed for the Tigard Dog Park Committee.
The Committee assists the City of Tigard Parks Department to maintain the dog parks and acts as an informal liaison between the Parks Department and the dog park users. The Committee organizes community-related events at dog parks in Tigard. If you are interested in becoming a committee member or assisting with events, or would just like more information, visit the Dog Park Committee's website at: www.tigarddogparks.org.

Water Info
January 11, 2006: The water faucet at Summerlake Dog Park has been replaced and the water is turned back on. The water pipe has also been lowered to eliminate the issues were we having with the hoses. Please be good stewards of the community and use this water only for the thirsty canines. It is not intended for human consumption or for cleaning off dirty dogs. Excess spillage of the water creates standing water which can soon harbor bacteria which can cause illness in dogs as well as making the area more of a mess.

Thank you for helping us maintain safe and clean dog parks so everyone can continue to use them.

Canines for Clean Water
A recent study commissioned by Clean Water Services linked 16 to 20 percent of the fecal bacteria in Tigard's creeks and rivers to canine DNA. In nature, this statistic should measure zero percent to trace amounts. Learn more here....

Dog Park Details
The dog park is approximately 2/3 acre and is nicely landscaped. It contains a double gated entry area, drinking water faucet for the dogs, information kiosk, donation box and a shelter for shade and protection from the rain.

Dog park etiquette and rules are posted at the entrance. Please review before using the off-leash area. Your cooperation is vital to keep Summerlake Dog Park a safe, off-leash area where dogs and their owners can play and socialize.
