Potso Dog Park General Information
Potso Dog Park contains the following features: perimeter fencing, double gated entry area,
shaded picnic tables, benches, interior perimeter path, and smaller interior fenced area
for little dogs and puppies.
Under New Ownership
The city bought the 2.6-acre Potso Dog Park property in March of 2011. The park was
originally developed on property leased by the city from Coe Manufacturing in
2002. Funds for the property purchase came from the $17 million park bond
measure passed by voters in November 2010.
Prior to purchasing the park, hours of operation were limited by the terms of
the lease. Under city ownership, park hours were expanded.
Open Hours at Potso Dog Park
Effective March 25, 2013
- Potso Dog Park is open every day dawn to dusk
EXCEPT on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the park is closed
until 3:30 p.m. for maintenance.
- If you're looking for additional dog park access, check out Ash Avenue Dog Park
or Summerlake Dog Park.
Please note that the City of Tigard reserves the right to close the Dog Park due to
rule violations, maintenance, weather related problems and special events as needed.
We appreciate everyone following the posted
rules so that the dog park remains enjoyable for all.

Dog Park Committee Needs You
The Committee assists the City of Tigard Parks Department to maintain the dog parks
and acts as an informal liaison between the Parks Department and the
dog park users. The Committee organizes community-related events at dog parks in
Tigard (Dog Days of Tigard in July and a Halloween party in October.) If you
are interested in becoming a committee member or assisting with events, or would
just like more information, contact martin@tigard-or.gov.

Canines for Clean Water
A study commissioned by Clean Water Services linked 16 to 20 percent of
the fecal bacteria in Tigard's creeks and rivers to canine DNA. In nature, this
statistic should measure zero percent to trace amounts. Learn more here....
