Potso Dog Park Re-opens!
Construction of the irrigation system inside the off-leash area is complete and the park
re-opened March 1, 2014.
Improvements were made possible by the voter-approved $17 million park and open space bond.
The new irrigation system will improve the quality of the turf grass at the park by reducing
wet, muddy conditions during the rainy season and making the terrain
safer for active dogs and more aesthetically pleasing for their owners.
The city will also pave the existing gravel parking lot, creating more uniform parking
spaces, increased accessibility and less dust.
Parking lot construction and paving is expected during spring of 2014.

Potso Dog Park Ownership
The city bought the 2.6-acre Potso Dog Park property in March of 2011. The park was
originally developed on property leased by the city from Coe Manufacturing in
2002. Funds for the property purchase came from the $17 million park bond
measure passed by voters in November 2010.
Prior to purchasing the park, hours of operation were limited by the terms of
the lease. Under city ownership, park hours were expanded.
