Ash Street Dog Park
12770 SW Ash Avenue, Tigard(off Burnham Street near downtown Tigard) Tigard's Off Leash Dog Area This wheelchair accessible off-leash dog area is located off of Burnham Street on Ash Avenue. The site is approximately 10,000 sq. ft. (100 x 100 ft.) and has limited parking. There is no running water, but there is a table and bag dispenser. Ash Street Dog Park Closed Due to Construction The NEW Burnham Street is under construction and dogs are being "scent" to other dog parks effective November 1, 2009. At the completion of the project - anticipated in late 2010 - the community will have a New Burnham Street and an improved Ash Street Dog Park. During construction, please visit one of Tigard's other dog parks: Summerlake Dog Park - Located in northwest Tigard, south of Scholls Ferry Road and east of 135th Avenue (11450 SW Winterlake Drive). Summerlake is open daily dawn to dusk. Potso Dog Park - Located on Wall Street off Hunziker Street. Potso is open from 4:30 p.m. to dusk on Friday, and dawn to dusk on Saturday and Sunday. Open over Thanksgiving and Christmas weekend's dawn to dusk. Volunteers are always needed for the Tigard Dog Park Committee. The Committee assists the City of Tigard Parks Division to maintain the dog parks and acts as an informal liaison between the Parks Department and the dog park users. The Committee organizes community-related events at dog parks in Tigard. Annually, in July, an event called Dog Days of Tigard is conducted at Potso Dog Park. In late October of each year the Committee conducts a Halloween party at Potso Dog Park for the dogs who come in costume. Judges rate the costumes and prizes are awarded. If you are interested in becoming a committee member or assisting with these events, or would just like more information, please visit the Dog Park Committee's website at: www.tigarddogparks.org.
