  • Dog Park Relocation Notice of Ash Avenue Dog Park Relocation
    (posted 8/11/14)
The City of Tigard is working on a redevelopment plan to construct new housing on the site that currently includes the Tigard Public Works Yard and the Ash Avenue Dog Park. This will fulfill a main goal of the voter-approved City Center Urban Renewal Plan—to revitalize Downtown Tigard by attracting more residents. Construction could begin as early as summer 2015.

The city will relocate the Ash Avenue Dog Park to one of two comparable sites just across the street. The new dog park will be open prior to closing of the existing park, and will have similar amenities.

If you have questions or would like to comment, send a message to AshAveDogPark@tigard-or.gov.

    Other Tigard Dog Parks:
    Summerlake Dog Park
    Potso Dog Park

Volunteers are always needed for the Tigard Dog Park Committee
The Committee assists the City of Tigard Parks Division to maintain the dog parks and acts as an informal liaison between the Parks Department and the dog park users. The Committee organizes community-related events at dog parks in Tigard.

Annually, in July, an event called Dog Days of Tigard is conducted at Potso Dog Park. In late October of each year, the Committee conducts a Halloween party for the dogs who come in costume. Judges rate the costumes and prizes are awarded.
