Family Festival 2010

6th Annual Family Fest Celebrates Tigard Families
The Family Fest Planning Committee has added another weekend to the city's annual celebration, as well as a new activity to this year's Family Fest line-up.

Join friends and family for the citywide celebration on two consecutive weekends: Saturday, September 11, and September 17-18.

The new event is a Pet Parade - enter your cat, dog, guinea pig, gerbil or even your goldfish! There will be prizes and musical entertainment by the Petropolitan Jazz Band. Both events will be held in Summerlake Park (south of Scholls Ferry Road and east of 135th Avenue at 11450 SW Winterlake Drive) on Saturday, September 18. Pet treats will be provided by Davidson's Restaurant.

Saturday, September 11 @ Cook Park
  • Texas BBQ at 4:30 PM
  • Ice Cream served up by the Lions2000 Club at 6 PM
  • Music by the Tualatin Valley Community Band at the Gazebo, 7 PM
  • Fireworks at dusk
Friday, September 17 @ Tigard Library
  • Research your family roots with the help of genealogy experts from 6 to 8 PM upstairs in the Technology Room
  • Family Celebrations Around the World, a hands-on evening for the whole family, 6:30-7:30 PM in the Community Room
Saturday, September 18 @ City Hall and Summerlake Dog Park
  • 5K Fun Run/Walk: Register online today or on race day at City Hall beginning at 8 AM. Race begins at 9 AM. Following the race, join us for a hearty breakfast at the finish line. Free shuttle rides will take you back to City Hall
