  • This community cleanup event is available to City of Tigard residents.
Community clean up

Bring items to Tigard Public Works for recycling or donation to Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Please see below for a complete list of accepted materials. Total amounts are limited to one 8’ truck bed or one 8’ trailer. Residential only.

To accommodate as many households as possible, we must specify:

  • One trip through per customer
  • Gates will close prior to 1 p.m. if we reach fill capacity at the drop-off site.
  • Materials will only be accepted between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the day of the event. Any items left outside of those hours will be considered illegal dumping and violators will be prosecuted.
  • Call Brian Wheatley at 503-718-2610 with questions about specific items.


ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

  • Tires (must be clean of mud or caked-on dirt) Limit six per customer
  • Scrap metal
  • Bulky plastics (Styrofoam, kids yard toys, storage boxes) See list.
  • Usable building materials or fixtures that can be donated to Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Please call Brian Wheatley at 503-718-2610 to confirm.
  • Wood (plywood, boards, treated)
  • Cardboard
  • Bulky waste such as mattresses, couches, etc.
  • Broken appliances such water heaters


UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

  • No oversized, agricultural or commercial tires
  • No appliances that contained coolant – freezers, refrigerators, A/C  units, humidifiers, etc
  • No hazardous waste (chemicals, motor oil, batteries, paint, fluorescent lamps, etc). Call Metro at 503-234-3000 for options
  • No construction and remodeling debris (drywall, insulation, vinyl tile/sheet flooring, asbestos, concrete, dirt, etc.).
  • No yard debris
  • No kitchen garbage or materials normally collected in the curbside collection program
  • No TVs, monitors, or computer equipment
