Room Reservations

Room Reservations No Longer Being Accepted

Effective Monday, April 12, 2010, the City of Tigard will no longer rent rooms to the public. Room rental reservations made prior to April 12, 2010, will be honored.

The declining economy has placed additional burdens on the City's limited resources and has forced cuts in staffing and services. Although the City has subsidized the rental program in the past, it is no longer able to do so. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact us at 503-718-2641 if you have any questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Why is the City no longer renting out rooms? The City rents out rooms as a service to the community. Although the City has subsidized the rental program in the past, due to budget cuts, we will no longer be able to offer this service.

  2. Why doesn't the City just raise room reservation rates? The City would have to raise rates substantially in order to cover the expense of renting rooms, which does not appear feasible in the current economic climate.

  3. When will the City stop accepting new room reservations? The City is no longer accepting room reservations effective Monday, April 12, 2010.

  4. Will the room reservation I've already made be honored? Yes, if you have already made a room reservation, you will still be able to use the room.

  5. Where else can we rent rooms?

    -- Metzger Park Hall - 503-846-8715
    -- Tigard Chamber of Commerce - 503-639-1656
