The City of Tigard values the importance of water education and offers a number of
resources for teachers and schools at no cost.
Many teachers have taken advantage of these programs in the past, and in 2004 there
were 43 presentations given to over 1600 students! These programs also come with
detailed instructions for those teachers who wish to give the presentations themselves.
Some of the presentations include free conservation materials, such as water bottles,
pencils, stickers, bookmarks and brochures for students to share with their families.
These presentations can also be tailored to meet individual classroom curriculum needs.
