Curbside Recycling

Blend together the following in your co-mingle recycling cart
Cardboard Break down and flatten large boxes. Curbside Recycling
Newspaper & Magazines Toss into the cart, no string-tie necessary.
Milk & Juice Cartons Rinse, clean, and drip dry.
Scrap Paper Toss into cart, no additional prep needed.
Metal Cans Rinse and remove labels. No need to remove lids or flatten cans.
Plastics
Rigid plastic containers and bottles that are acceptable include: plastic bottles and tubs 6 oz. or larger (no lids), milk containers - do not crush or flatten, margarine/butter tubs (no lids), cottage cheese/yogurt tubs (no lids), rigid buckets 5-gallons or less - with/without a handle, rigid plastic plant pots 4" or larger. Please do not include plastic bottles that have come into contact with motor oil, pesticide or herbicide.
Aerosol Cans Empty normally, discard the plastic cap & toss into cart. For safety sake, do not fatten/puncture the can or remove nozzle.
Scrap Metal Must be smaller than 36 inches long & less than 40 pounds.
RECYCLE IN SMALL RED BIN
Glass Bottles & Jars Rinse, no need to remove labels. Please no broken glass, ovenware, Pyrex, china ceramics, light bulbs or window glass. No plastic lids (discard with garbage). Note: Glass is picked up once per month.
RECYCLE ON THE SIDE
Motor Oil Pour used motor oil and automotive lubricants into a gallon milk jug with a twist on lid. NO antifreeze or oil/water contaminated with antifreeze. Note: Motor Oil is picked up once per month.
NON RECYCLABLE MATERIALS
These items cannot be recycled Boxes coated with Wax or Oil, Carbon Paper, Charcoal Bags, Disposable Diapers, Fertilizer Bags, Foam Packing Material, Food-Contaminated Paper and Boxes, Frozen Juice Paper Cans, Liquids, Hygiene Products, Microwave Dishes, Mylar Balloons, Napkins, Oil Soaked Paper, Pet Food Bags, Photographs, Plastic Bags, Plastic Twist Top Lids, Plastic Wrap, Tape, Tissues, Toilet Paper, Styrofoam, Waxed Paper
