Payment Options

Payment Options
The Court accepts cash, money order, check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover Card for payment of court fines and fees. Credit card payments to the court can be made in person or by telephone during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

If a license suspension has been imposed for non-payment of a case, the court does not accept personal checks. If a financial obligation is paid with a returned (NSF) check, the court will not accept another check to resolve the payment. Only cash, money order, or a credit card can be accepted to remedy NSF checks or license suspensions.

The Court also allows payment plans. If you would like to arrange a payment plan, you must appear in person and fill out a payment agreement. The original payment agreement will be returned to you. This is the only bill that will be provided. The court does not send out monthly billings. It is your responsibility to satisfy all conditions of the payment agreement.

If you fail to make payments as agreed, the court can:
  • Assess a $10.00 overdue payment charge;
  • Request that the Department of Motor Vehicles suspend your driver's license;
  • Add a suspension processing fee of $15.00.
  • Impose a collection fee of up to 25% of the unpaid account balance; and,
  • Send your account to a collection agency.
The Court utilizes collection agencies to assist in seeking payment of financial obligations to the court in all types of cases. Your case may be sent to a collection agency even if a driver's license suspension is not appropriate under Oregon law.
