Beaverton-Tualatin Hwy (Hall Blvd) Crosswalk
|
Join us Tuesday, March 23, at 1:30 p.m. as we celebrate the Grand Opening of the
Woodruff Bridge and Hall Boulevard Crosswalk. Hang up your winter coat and
kick-off an active spring break by walking, biking or running the newest
segment of the Fanno Creek Trail.
Pedestrians will soon be able to cross Hall Boulevard, north of Fanno Creek
or just south of City Hall with ease using a new pedestrian activated signal.
The crosswalk signal will include solar-powered flashing warning beacons,
at and in advance of, the crosswalk; warning signage; and crosswalk markings.
The new crosswalk will provide connectivity to the existing Fanno Creek trail west of Hall Boulevard and the new trail on the east side of the street. The crosswalk will be constructed at about the same time with this project under a separate contract.
Both projects promote the ongoing efforts of the City to enhance public safety through off-street pathways while ensuring habitat-friendly development.
This project will be funded through Washington County's MSTIP 3 Bike/Pedestrian fund and local funds.
