Zoning Map Description
The Tigard Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1983. In conformity with the Comprehensive Plan, the Zoning Map implements the Comprehensive Plan and guides development throughout the City. The map is intended as a general reference only and zoning designations should always be verified.

Tigard's Zoning Map is divided into districts designated for specific types of permitted developments and uses subject to the development requirements of each district. These districts are classified into Residential, Industrial, and Commercial zoning designations as follows:
General Commercial
Heavy Industrial
Industrial Park
Light Industrial
Neighborhood Commercial
Professional Commercial
R-1 (Residential, 1 unit per acre)
R-2 (Residential, 2 units per acre)
R-3.5 (Residential, 3.5 units per acre)
R-4.5 (Residential, 4.5 units per acre)
R-7 (Residential, 7 units per acre)
R-12 (Residential, 12 units per acre)
R-25 (Residential, 25 units per acre)
R-40 (Residential, 40 units per acre)
