PURPOSE:

The City Center Development Agency is charged with the revitalization of Downtown and
implementation of the Urban Renewal Plan, which was approved by voters in May of 2006.
The source of funding comes from tax increment financing. When the CCDA was established,
the assessed value of the district was frozen. Property taxes collected on any growth in
assessed value over and above the frozen base (the increment) can be invested by the
CCDA on urban renewal projects to foster economic development in the Downtown.
MEMBERS:
The Tigard City Council serves as the Board of the CCDA.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Beginning March 6, Council will meet on the first Tuesday of each month as members of the CCDA. Until
recently these meetings were convened within a regular business meeting. These stand-alone
meetings will allow them to respond to increased demand for decisions related to the urban
renewal district.
